Visit the Cliff Palaces

This is the official (and only) lodging for Mesa Verde National Park. Not only are the Pueblo Cliff Palaces a national treasure, but the the Far View Lodge is a delightful place to stay. The series of cabins that make up the lodge have balconies overlooking spectacular scenery and are decorated in natural Western motifs. The visitor center with a restaurant that serves gourmet local cuisine and a bar with a balcony overlooking the same scenic vistas is a short walk from the cabins. The restaurant is a bit pricey, but worth it, and the bar serves great tapas-style food that is a good alternative. And it's not impossible to get a reservation a week or two ahead of time, unlike many other national parks.
