Location. Castle Kamaole Sands, located on the southwest coast of Maui, Hawaii, lies across the street from Kamaole Beach Park III. This Kihei resort features views of Mount Haleakala, a dormant volcano. Shopping, dining, golf and water sports are all available nearby. The tiny island of Molokini, renowned for the clarity of its surrounding water, is not far offshore, and offers snorkeling and scuba diving opportunities.
Features. This resort offers 15 acres of tropical gardens complemented by ponds, hibiscus blossoms, fountains and waterfalls. Computer kiosks with Internet access for a fee are located in the lobby. Resort amenities include four tennis courts, a sundeck, two spa tubs, volleyball courts and eight barbecue areas. A children's wading pool is available.
Guestrooms. Castle Kamaole Sands offers accommodations in 10 four story buildings throughout the resort's 15 acres. All units include private lanais and fully equipped kitchens with refrigerators, coffeemakers, ovens, microwave ovens and dishwashers. Washers and dryers are also provided. Many of the condos feature spiral staircases, large mirrored walls and tropical décor. Internet access is available for a daily fee, and cable television and DVD/VCR players are provided.
